Anthony Monte Takes Home His Awards for 2009 Race Season

01.31.10 - Anthony Monte took home several awards from the 2009 race season at the annual Long Island Karting Association Awards Banquet on Sunday, January 31st 2010 at the Islandia Marriot Hotel.

Anthony won 2nd place in the Vanderbilt Race Series, 1st place in the Saturday Sprint Series, 2nd place in the Long Island Championship Series and 2nd place in the Long Island Karting Association Race Season in the 80cc 2 cycle Cadet Novice class.

Anthony's race kart was sponsored by Go Pro Hero Video Cameras, Fleming Motorsports, Rockwell Action Sport Watches, Lisa Beth Gerstman Foundation and Margison Graphics. Without the support of our sponsors, Anthony success in 2009 would not be possible. We are hoping that all of our sponsors return for the 2010 race season. We would also like to thank all of our friends and family who help both Nicholas and Anthony during this past race season.

We would also like to announce that Douglas Wheels, DWT has signed on to sponsor the Monte Brothers Racing team for the 2010 race season. DWT will be on all three race karts for the upcoming season.

Monte Brothers Racing Takes a Few Family Members to GPNY

12.30.09 - Nicholas and Anthony Monte took a few cousins and uncles up to Grand Prix New York for a few laps of racing fun. As always the place did not let us down and I can't thank Ryan and Jose enough for taking good care of us.

We did two races on the Uptown track which has some tight turns and a nice elevation change.  Needless to say, the competitiveness came out in all of us as the laps ticked off. The usual mild manner behavior gave way to the bumping and grinding, "Rubbing is Racing" mentality. There were a few new family grudges created that night on the track. But when the last checkered flag waved, we all came away with smiles and a lot of good family memories. I think the next family reunion will be held at GPNY.

Monte Brothers Racing to Compete at Indoor Winter Series at GPNY

12.09.09 - With the outdoor race season over and the race karts packed away for the winter, both Nicholas and Anthony look forward to indoor racing activities. The folks at Grand Prix New York, an indoor racing facility in Mount Kisco, NY are hosting a three race series over the winter. GPNY is a top notch indoor karting facility with two race tracks with elevation changes and tight turns. The dates for the three races are January 16th, January 30th and February 13th. Racing starts at 9:00am, so get there early. GPNY will provide all of the equipment needed to race.

The Winter Series is open to all ages and to anyone who has an interest in go kart racing. This is a great opportunity to give go kart racing a try. Races are $45.00 per date. Entry Forms can be obtained directly from the GPNY website, www.GPNY.com or from the Long Island Karting Association website at www.LIKAOnline.com. We hope to see you there.

Anthony Monte Finishes 2nd in the Long Island Championship Race #3 and 2nd in the overall L.I.K.A Championship.

11.08.09 - On an unusually warm November Sunday morning, Anthony Monte of the Monte Brothers Racing Team took to the track for the final event of the 2009 race season. This event would be a combination event, Race 3 of the Long Island Championship Series and the Annual Turkey Race, a L.I.K.A tradition where race winners are awarded an actual turkey.

The day could not have been better. Anthony's kart was strong and during the three practice sessions for the day, Anthony would battle with fellow competitor and good friend Dominick Ferrara. a little bumping back and forth but the two drivers, as always, came off the track smiling and congratulated each other. Anthony's 2nd place finish in the race would secure 2nd place in the overall L.I.K.A Championship. This was a great way to end the 2009 season.
